DGO SPREADSHEET GUIDE

QC Photo Checklist: Views and Measurements to Request

Prepare a specific warehouse photo request for your selected item. Work through order matching, useful views, measurement points and the evidence to save before shipping.

YOUR CHECKLIST

Match the chosen option first; then ask for category-specific views and measurements that could change your decision.

01

Match the selected item

Compare the warehouse photos with your order: item type, color, size tag, quantity and included pieces. Ask for an identification photo if the option is unclear.

02

Check the key views

For shoes, request both sides, heel, toe, outsole and size tag. For clothing, request front, back, inside or closure where relevant. For bags, request the open compartment, base and strap attachments.

03

Request a measurement

Ask for a tape-visible insole length, flat garment width or usable bag opening only when it affects your decision. State the unit and measurement points so you can compare it with an item you own.

04

Record the result

Write down what the photos confirm and what remains unknown. If there is a mismatch, save the photo and order detail together before submitting an after-sales request. Photos cannot establish durability or performance after use.

Understand the limits of visual inspection

A warehouse image can help confirm visible attributes of an arrived item, but it does not establish how a material will wear or whether a performance claim is true. Compare against the order option first. For sealed goods, the available view may be limited to the package exterior. Separate what the photo proves from what it merely suggests, and keep unresolved claims marked as unknown.

Ask only for evidence that changes a decision

A useful additional-photo request names the view, item and reason. “Photograph both heel backs straight on” is easier to fulfill and review than “check the shoes carefully”. Save the original images alongside the order details before submitting a request about a mismatch. Decide whether the evidence confirms the item, requires clarification or calls for an after-sales request before the parcel is shipped.

KEEP THIS HANDY

A focused QC request

Identification
Include the order ID, item, selected size or color and the photo that shows the option.
Question
State the precise detail you need to resolve, such as whether the zipper closes straight.
View or measurement
Ask for one clear angle or tape-visible dimension using named measurement points.
Decision
Record whether the response confirms the item, reveals a mismatch or leaves the question open.
WORKED EXAMPLE

Example: requesting useful hoodie photos

Instead of “please check quality”, ask for a front photo with the zipper closed, a back photo and a flat chest-width measurement for the selected size with the tape visible. Compare those photos with the order option and the listing’s size chart. If the warehouse photo shows a different color or the width is materially different from what you expected, save both images and raise the mismatch before submitting international shipping.

Respond to unclear photos or a visible mismatch

The photo cannot identify the chosen variant

Request a size-tag, color or option view before judging smaller details.

A defect is visible

Keep the original image and order description together, then check the current after-sales process.

The concern is durability or authenticity

Do not treat appearance photos as proof of those properties. Seek stronger evidence or leave the claim unresolved.

Questions about requesting useful QC evidence

What can a standard inspection confirm?

DgoBuy describes its inspection as checking appearance information such as style, quantity, color, size and model.

Can QC photos prove fit?

Photos alone cannot. Ask for a relevant measurement and compare it with an item you already own.

NEXT STEP

Keep the QC request with the selected item

Record the views or measurements you need beside the product reference, then compare the arrived item with that selected option.
