DGO SPREADSHEET GUIDE

How to Use a DGO Spreadsheet

Follow the steps from choosing a product category to saving the exact listing and selected option. Use this workflow when you want to find an item and keep a useful product record.

YOUR CHECKLIST

Choose a category, open the live option, confirm its details and save a short record of what still needs checking.

01

Choose a category

Open the product category closest to your item: sneakers, hoodies, jackets, T-shirts or bags. Start with similar items so that size and specification checks stay comparable.

02

Search for the exact item

Use the search box with a short item phrase and one identifying detail, such as “black zip hoodie”. Search results open in the external catalogue. Shorten the phrase if the results are too narrow.

03

Open the live product option

Check the current color, size, quantity, included pieces and price on the product page. A sheet image or reference price can become outdated, so verify the option you would actually select.

04

Save the useful details

Keep the product link with the selected variant, current price and one unresolved question. Compare a few candidates using the same measurements. Discard broken or duplicate links.

05

Check before ordering

Reopen the chosen live page and confirm its details. Record the question that a QC photo or measurement needs to answer once the item reaches the warehouse.

Before you open a product link

Decide what the item must do and which detail would rule it out. For shoes, that might be fit and shape; for a bag, it might be an opening large enough for a laptop. Search terms become much more useful once those requirements are clear. A directory row can help you discover candidates, but it may show a snapshot of a different variant from the one you eventually choose. For that distinction, read about bag dimensions, capacity and laptop fit.

When the shortlist is ready

Every saved link should point to the intended product type and have a named selected option. You should be able to say why each candidate remains on the list and what still needs checking. If two links have the same evidence and no meaningful difference, remove one. Before ordering, revisit the live page because price, stock and option names may have changed since your first visit.

KEEP THIS HANDY

A useful product-link record

Item and option
Write the product type, chosen color, size and quantity exactly as shown on the live page.
Current price
Capture the price attached to that option, rather than the lowest price shown in a search result.
Evidence
Note which size chart, material detail or product photos you actually checked.
Open question
Write one detail that still needs confirmation, such as a flat measurement or included accessory.
WORKED EXAMPLE

Example: narrowing a hoodie search

You want a black zip hoodie with a roomy fit. Start in the hoodies category, then search “black zip hoodie”. Open two or three results and select the same size on each live listing. Compare flat chest width if the charts provide it. Save the link that shows the closure, back view and chosen size clearly. If a lower-priced result only shows a pullover or has no size chart, keep that difference visible in your notes instead of treating both listings as equivalent.

Fix a product-link or option mismatch

The link opens a different item

Remove it from your list and return to the category or search results. Do not use an old thumbnail as evidence.

The displayed price changes after selecting a size

Record the selected option price and reassess the comparison with that figure.

The listing lacks a key detail

Keep the detail marked “unknown” and compare another listing before moving forward.

Questions about finding and saving product links

How many links should I save?

Start with a small number you can compare carefully. Three distinct candidates are usually easier to review than a long list of near-duplicates.

Does the spreadsheet price include delivery?

Treat it as a reference for discovery. Check the live option and a separate shipping estimate for a fuller cost picture.

NEXT STEP

Keep the exact product option in your shortlist

Use the saved name, option and unresolved question when you reopen a product. The catalogue button below opens more product references.
